Sales Manager North America (f/m/d)

Worldwide, we are the specialists for multifunctional and decorative thin-film surfaces on strip metals. For 45 years, we have been modifying and refining surface properties on aluminium, copper, steel and stainless steel. From anodising to PVD coating to individually developed paint systems, we offer all process technologies - reliable & safe - from a single source. Our high-quality products are used internationally in the lighting, solar, automotive, electrical and interior & exterior industries. We produce on an industrial scale for global markets at our company headquarters in Ennepetal with around 200 employees. Worldwide, the ALANOD Group employs around 230 people at locations in Europe, the USA and Asia.

In the course of a structural realignment, we are reorganising our external sales organisation (B2B). Especially in the product areas Decorative & Functionals, Automotive and Solar, we are looking for sales representatives for local markets. It is advantageous to have existing contacts in these target markets and industries as well as a high affinity to surface-critical aluminium products.

We are looking for:

Sales Manager (f/m/d)

 

for the following region as soon as possible:

  • North America with base location in North Ridgeville, OH USA


The main tasks of this positions include

  • Monitoring and reporting on general market developments
  • Development and implementation of adequate sales, promotion, marketing or merchandising programs for existing customers as well as the acquisition of new customers; driving the opportunity pipeline and generating new leads
  • Participation in suitable trade shows and/or exhibitions
  • Identification and selection of potential customers
  • Visits to existing and potential customers on regular basis
  • Customer presentations


Requirements

  • Several years of professional experience in B2B sales of functional and/or decorative (metal) products, whereby knowledge of solar, automotive and lighting as well as experience with rolled products would be an advantage
  • Sales personality with strong communication skills, very good negotiation skills, proven negotiation success and technical understanding
  • Independent and structured way of working and travel
  • Experience in working with international teams
  • Persuasiveness, ability to learn, resilience, commitment and team spirit
  • Residence in spatial proximity to the sales area
  • Bachelor Degree preferred
  • Hunter mentality
