German company launches high-performance solar collectors with Alanod's innovative mirotherm® Control

The German based company Solvis from Braunschweig, which has been a pioneer in the development of highly efficient and environmentally friendly heating and hot water technology for more than 30 years, has now developed and launched a new solar collector. This new collector is called SolvisCala 254 Control and shows a significant reduction in stagnation temperature compared to its predecessor model. In this specific case, Solvis has implemented Alanod's intelligent absorber surface mirotherm® Control for the first time.

UV light sanitizers with MIRO® UV-C

On the UV light spectrum there are UV-A, B, and C lights. Only UV-C light can kill microorganisms, as it has a range of effectiveness, which interferes and destroys the nucleic acids of bacteria and other microbes. Studies have shown that UV-C is effective against all foodborne pathogens, natural microbiota, molds, and yeasts.

Alanod part of an innovative solar project in Geneva

The new SIG SolarCAD II solar thermal power plant, designed and installed by the Geneva-based TVP Solar and completed in December 2020, produces more than 0.5 GWh of energy per year. In 2021, the installation demonstrated  the capability to produce hot water at more than 80°C, all-year round, even in winter, and overachieved its performance target .

Opening of the largest solar thermal plant in Austria

This week, Austria's largest solar thermal plant was officially opened in Friesach, Kärnten. The solar park, having the size of a football field, with 436 large-area collectors on 5,750 square metres, is expected to produce 2.5 million kWh of heat per year. This will cover a 100% of the annual hot water demand, thus, in the transitional period, the heating needs of approximately 500 district heating customers in Friesach.
