Alanod’s MIRO® 27 chosen for ESA’s CHIME Earth Observation Mission

The European Space Agency’s CHIME mission, part of the Copernicus programme, will use Alanod's reflective surface MIRO® 27 as the base material for satellite radiators. CHIME consists of two identical satellites in sun-synchronous orbit, equipped with hyperspectral imagers to deliver detailed data on vegetation, soils, raw materials, and environmental and climate processes.

MIRO® 27 supports the passive dissipation of heat into deep space and is designed to withstand short-term temperatures of up to approximately 150 °C during periods of solar exposure. The mission is implemented under ESA (European Space Agency) leadership.
