Tasks
In different areas of the company, the specialists ensure that machines, systems or parts are ready for operation and maintain and repair them before expensive downtimes occur. Or they manufacture components from various materials and assemble them.
Their area of responsibility also includes the construction and assembly of new plant and machine components. Industrial mechanics come into contact with the latest technologies, e.g. in pneumatics and hydraulics. The area of responsibility also includes writing maintenance and inspection plans.
Prerequisites
- at least a high school diploma
- Good grades in the natural sciences
- Technical understanding
- Manual skills and a good understanding of numbers
