Warehouse logistics specialists ensure that millions of goods are transported all over the world. And they do this using a system that works efficiently, on time and smoothly. As a warehouse logistics specialist, you will be responsible for receiving goods and checking the paperwork to ensure that the quantity and quality are correct.

You organize the unloading and professional storage of goods. In addition to incoming goods, there is also outgoing goods. In order picking, you ensure that the deliveries are put together, receive their accompanying documents and leave the warehouse.

In addition to the practical work in the warehouse, warehouse logistics specialists are also involved in organization and optimization: Can the warehouse system be improved? Are there better sources of supply for certain goods? When does something need to be reordered so that it arrives on time?

The day-to-day work of a warehouse logistics specialist is varied: it's not just about loading goods with physical strength, but also about transportation with industrial trucks (forklift trucks, for example) and working with computers and handheld devices. Depending on the warehouse, you may be required to operate special machines to pick the goods. Other warehouses are highly automated, so you mainly control and monitor. In some companies, you will have to do more planning and manual work yourself.
