The magnetic stainless steel foils are pre-treated on both sides with HPL/CPL primer and can be easily applied to wood-based materials using PVAc glue or contact adhesives. Hot lamination processes or integration into standardized HPL pressing processes are suitable for industrial applications. The ultra-thin material thickness of just 0.1 to 0.2 mm allows seamless integration without noticeable material transitions.
TECHNO PRIME MAGNET offers a reliable ferromagnetic adhesive effect for commercially available magnets. The sheets easily hold light to medium-weight objects such as notes, photos, drawings, small metal objects or magnetic organization systems. The adhesive force depends on the quality of the magnets used – with neodymium magnets, even heavier objects weighing up to approx. 100g per magnetic point can be held in place.
The stainless steel foils can be formed with a minimum bending radius of 1.5 times the material thickness and are suitable for slight curves on furniture. Holes should be drilled before bonding to avoid delamination. For more complex geometries, we recommend integrating the film into the core board before final shaping. Edges can be easily reworked and fitted with edge bands.
The ferromagnetic properties of the films are optimized to function as a passive adhesive surface and do not generate any active magnetic fields. Modern electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets or laptops are not affected. For highly sensitive medical or measuring devices, we recommend a minimum distance of 30 cm.
The magnetic foils can be combined with the usual surface treatments for furniture construction. Direct painting is possible with special metal primers. Lamination with decorative films, thin HPL layers or veneers is ideal, whereby the magnetic function is invisibly integrated. Textile coverings or acoustic fleeces can also be applied without any problems. If the entire surface is covered, the magnetic function is completely retained.
